SONY RX10 III la mantis religiosa de las cámaras Bridge

Los cuatro aspectos que definen a esta cámara fotográfica son: un cuerpo sólido que se sujeta perfectamente con una mano, un buen microprocesador que SONY le ha puesto el nombre de BIONZ X, un excelente sensor CMOS de 1” bautizado con el nombre de EXMOR RS,  una excelente óptica CARL ZEISS con una apertura F2,4-4 y un gran zoom que va de los 24mm a los 600mm.

Es una cámara de ensueño para el aficionado avanzado a la fotografía y a la vez, es una cámara que un profesional puede seleccionar tranquilamente para hacer de cobertura a su equipo de fotografía habitual. Primeros planos con fondos difuminados, retratos, grandes paisajes, deportes, viajes, con un solo equipo puedes cubrir infinidad de situaciones y todo sin cambiar de objetivo, esto es lo que ofrece esta Sony CSC-RX10 III.

El cuerpo es correcto en dimensiones y peso 1122 gr. según la báscula de mí cocina, con la batería y la tarjeta SD dentro de sus tripas. Se me hace raro la posición y las etiquetas de algún pulsador pero bueno, nada que sea crítico. Los metales, las gomas y los plásticos que conforman toda la estructura de esta magnífica cámara de fotos, son de primera calidad, no presentan ningún punto débil.

SONY ha exprimido al máximo la óptica de esta RX 10 III, no en vano, es el punto más importante y mejor resuelto de esta máquina. Cuando se diseña algo, siempre hay que marcarse unos límites que se tienen que conocer buscando en todo momento equilibrio, para de esta forma sacar el máximo provecho a la física clásica y es indudable que la óptica que monta esta SONY RX 10 III lo consigue, dejando un buen sabor de boca al propietario del aparato.

La electrónica correcta, el microprocesador, los puertos, el sensor CMOS de 1”, el visor electrónico, el display superior, la pantalla principal todo es muy correcto y funciona de forma muy fluida. No obstante se echa de menos que la pantalla principal tenga algún que otro movimiento más, no estaría de más, que pudiese mirar hacia el objetivo, para en algún que otro caso hacer algún selfie y poder ocultarla en el interior del cuerpo a la hora de transportarla dentro de una mochila. Dos detallitos sin mucha historia.

El software de la cámara es el punto que tiene más claroscuros. SONY quiere que esta cámara haga de todo, pero eso es sencillamente imposible, se nota que los ingenieros japoneses no han tenido las ideas claras a la hora de diseñar este aparado. El software se me antoja confuso, es fácil perderte por tanta opción, es como si se les hubiera olvidado que estaban fabricando una cámara de fotos y no un ordenador. En esta cámara de fotos se pueden configurar muchos detalles, pero ¡uf!, se me hace muy duro tener y usar tanta función, además el manual de instrucciones da mucha pena. Por otra parte, hay dos aplicaciones que hoy en día parecen muy básicas debido a que casi cualquier móvil es capaz de ejecutarlas, que esta cámara no termina de ejecutar de forma fluida como son: la grabación de video a cámara lenta y la función time-lapse que no se incluye de serie, pero que te la puedes bajar previo pago en formato de app. Y aquí nos encontramos con otro aspecto que me perturba, la camarita tiene un apartado dentro de los menús para bajarte aplicaciones en lo que sería una copia del app store pero en este caso muy patética con aplicaciones patraña que ensucian el buen nombre de la marca. No entiendo el motivo que ha llevado a los ingenieros de SONY a hacer semejante chapuza.

Por lo demás, la cámara es una pasada, hace muy buenas fotos y buenos videos con lo que la compra merece la pena. Solo tiene dos borrones, que con una actualización simplista de software se solucionarían, por un lado, reduces el número de opciones que presenta el menú y por otro eliminas la tienda y sus accesos desde la cámara. Y si ya quieres tratar de forma exquisita a tus clientes, corriges el defecto de la grabación limitada de la cámara lenta, e insertas la función time-lapse de serie. Pero bueno querido lector, eso es soñar despierto.
